The breakdown of URANIUM, a highly reactive metal used in nuclear - TopicsExpress

The breakdown of URANIUM, a highly reactive metal used in nuclear weaponry, produces a chemical called RADON. Radon causes the cells in our lungs to lose control-- lung cancer. Radon is always floating around in the air, but radon is especially attracted to cigarette smoke. This means that when you breathe near cigarette smoke, you are inhaling high concentrations of radon. This is why 2nd hand smoke is dangerous... I wish smokers all the best in your lives, but I wish more that you could respect the dang sign on the building that says "No smoking" since I make an effort to take smoke-free routes gahhhhh. Exit soap box haha
