The brutality of some people is beyond belief and so is the bravery of others.... Comment from Ruth Numpty......Jobar, #Damascus: In June of this year, a young mother was out with her infant son when she caught the eye of a regime soldier, who first raped her, then dumped her semi-naked body in the street in Jobar, Damascus, crippling her feet to prevent her running away, so that regime snipers could use her as bait to target FSA troops coming to her rescue. The regime troops kept the traumatised child, who was screaming for his mother. It is not known what became of him. Four FSA heroes attempted to save her and were in turn shot dead themselves by the snipers. The fourth hero who died attempting to save her was Hisham Al Kordi from the Salhiya Freedom Fighters Battalion. The young woman died, still lying in the street, ten hours later. This is not an unusual incident; this is the nightmarish daily reality for the people of Syria as Assads war continues, as approved by the Friends of Syria (sic) and anti-interventionists, who watch or ignore this hell in silent indifference while labelling the heroes fighting to overthrow this monstrous regime terrorists.
