“The business of business is business” a past President once - TopicsExpress

“The business of business is business” a past President once said. Today the business of business is government. Last week it was the Federal Reserve’s Chairman indicating The Fed may ease the purchase of Bonds. Stocks collapsed over 500 Dow Points in two days. In October the O’Care exchanges are to open; 35 of which will be designed completely by the Federal Government. American business historically focused energy and resources on the launch of a new product or service. Business energy is now focused on “work-around” solutions to offset government regulations and policies. Businesses, unable to determine the cost of O’Care, now focus on “thresholds of compliance”. Full time workers are now part time workers. Companies with over 50 employees are splitting firms into 2 or more LLC’s of less than 50 employees, yet maintaining Affiliated Business Relationships (ABR’s) in order to continue operations, to avoid the onerous nature of government mandated and managed health care. These big government initiatives are being circumvented by businesses. And they SAP American Workers wages, crush employment stability, lower productivity, and add to America’s economic misery. I wonder if this is a case of unintended consequences. Or is it the long-term plan?
