The case for cancer registries in Africa?By 2020,70% of cancer mortality will be in the lower and middle income countries.This is of course by human development indices,Africa (with the exception of some North African countries),Central and Latin Americas and the Asia Pacific. What then for our country Kenya as a model for these?The time to act is now,the government needs to move from low to high prioritization for non communicable diseases,enforce monitoring and evaluation systems and most of all,embrace private sector partnerships in modelling a national cancer control plan.
