The chain of violent storms that rattled much of western and central Iowa abated slightly the final hour of Mothers Day. At least two tornadoes were spotted in Sioux County near Hospers in northwest Iowa shortly before 9 p.m. Radar indicated a possible tornado near Lake Panorama after 10 p.m. in Guthrie County. The storm lost intensity as the night wore on and lessened from a powerful cell capable of producing tornadoes to more ordinary thunderstorms. Expect more thunderstorms overnight and throughout the day Monday. dmreg.co/SRToF8
