The church appoints but God anoints. To avoid disappointment, the anointed must be appointed. Men just to “wait on tables,” were those “known to be full of the Spirit” (Acts 6:2-3). For leaders, that is the number one qualification. The anointing is God’s ordination. God never calls without anointing. No education, enthusiasm, talent, or energy can take its place.
