The church topic today was: have faith and dont worry. The scripture used was Mat 6:19-34.....BE A WARRIOR not a WORRIER! Worrying is like rocking in a rocking chair....it gives you something to do but it gets you nowhere....Gods faith is supernatural....the worlds faith depends on the 5 senses....so many people have to have things scientifically proved in order for it to be real....but just ask any Christian who has been touched by God how real He is.....it reminds me of a story: A Nobel Prize winning scientist was asked to be a guest lecturer at a prestigious university...the Chairman of the local Science department, a Christian, attended and brought his small sack lunch....the guest speaker boldly asked the students to prove that there was a God...the students were intimidated by his presence as much as his reputation....after nobody spoke up, the diminutive chairman reached into his sack lunch and brought out a small apple....standing at the back of the large classroom, he cleared his voice and spoke...Excuse me, he said, holding up the small apple....Can you tell me what kind of apple I am holding? The lecturer squinted to try and see what the chairman was holding....after seeing that it was an apple, the lecturer became offended and shouted How can I tell what kind of apple that is? I have never tasted it! Feeling smug in his answer, he watched the chairman take a bite of the apple and slowly chew it....after a few seconds, the chairman said And you, Sir, have never tasted my Jesus! Have faith in God...worrying gets you nowhere...Hurried. Worried. Buried. epitaph of a worrier.....have a great day....Roland... :)
