The class of 1978 mourn the passing of our dear classmate. We were informed earlier today that Andre Hess made his transition from this earthly home to live an everlasting life with The Lord. I will never forget the fun times when he was drum major in the Marching Tomcat Band. Teresa (Hunt) Teresa Robinson and I were majorettes and my cousin Dorothy Hafford-Watkins was a color guard/ flag girl. Oh what fun we had and Andre was the show all by himself. So many laughs, pranks, and last minute changes to the field show without telling the band director. You could hear our laughter on the field. What fun we had. Greg Mann used to always tell us that we werent real band members since we didnt play an instrument like he did but he was the ring leader in modifying the show. I wouldnt take anything for those beautiful childhood memories and the friends I hold so dear to my heart. Andre I miss you already. Take your well deserved rest classmate and thank you for a lifetime friendship.
