The class photograph came home today, printed on a 2015 table calendar. Over lunch I asked him to name all his class mates one-by-one, starting from L to R. In the leftmost corner, right on top, stood a girl called Prachi (name changed). So he began with her, went to the next, went back to Prachi to point her out again to me, then went to the third in the row, and again back to Prachi, and so on. I did not interrupt. This mothers antennae were too busy beeping ... So, while he named 23 kids (including himself) he multiplied only one name by 23. Im weak at mental mathematics, but I was always good at science. And, ahem, the signs of love too. My kid has a crush. My kid has a girl in his life. Sigh! I will be replaced as the most important woman in his life. Nothing prepares you for this.
