The classic James Bond 007 flick Thunderball hit the big screen on this day in 1965 - along with beautiful bond girl Luciana Paluzzi in a Lightning jacket from Lewis Leathers! Though Italian actress Luciana can be seen clearly, less well known is the fact that the stunt riding on the rocket-firing BSA was performed by the late motorcycle GP and TT racer Bill Ivy - the shots with helmet and black mask (and decidedly less feminine figure) are of Bill, then the helmet comes off and we swap to Luciana.
