The concept of eternally waiting love, i.e. a person waiting literally forever stoically and unhindered for his or her sworn love, has always driven me to my emotional limits. There is no particular reason for that - I would even go as far as to say that in my life I have always felt opposed to this kind of stasis. Still, I cannot help but feel touched to my core when thinking about the weight of the emotions that drives people to sacrifice their whole life, their whole being in exchange for the hope that they will someday be able to be with the person they want the most.
