The condition of your heart, by what you consider, think on, is whether you get the Word of God that is preached. Your pastor gives you the seed of the Word, but the soil, condition, of your heart is up to you. Consider or consider not? Cast your cares on the Lord or carry them? Casting down contrary thoughts and imaginations or developing them in color with vivid details? The disciples were called hard hearted, not because of sin, but because they did not consider the miracle of the fish and loaves, when the storm suddenly blew up on them, on their way to the other side. Consider, think on, all God has already done for you and it will keep the soil, in the garden of your heart, pliable and ready for the seed of the Word preached.
