The conflict in Gaza may have ended – and we pray that peace holds – but 50 days of destruction left more than 2,100 Palestinians dead, thousands injured, homes and infrastructure destroyed. The task to rebuild Gaza will take decades but its population still has immediate and urgent needs including the availability of food. As part of our aid efforts, we have already distributed emergency food packs to thousands of families and now, with our partners, we have sent a convoy of five trailers – four loaded with flour and the other with baby milk powder – from Jordan to Gaza where they have been handed over to UNRWA, the United Nations agency working for Palestinians, for distribution.
