The continuing saga of Super Bike! After installing and - TopicsExpress

The continuing saga of Super Bike! After installing and adjusting the derailleurs and brake calipers, it was time for brake and shifter cables installation (internal cabling) and adjustment. This is MUCH easier said than done, as it was my maiden voyage into running cables through the frame. All went well until (after running the rear shift cable from stem to stern) I discovered the cable provided with the groupo was too short for the application, so Im off to see Mark at Lakeshore Cycle, returning with a tandem cycle cable to cut down to the appropriate length. After installation, an intensive safety check was in order to insure the brakes REALLY WOULD stop the bike, and the shifters were accurate. At this point the handle bars got the Lizard Skins wrap and it was time to road test. Another half hour of de-bugging the crunchy steering and then discovering I had mounted the bottom fork bearing upside down (did I just admit that?), THEN it was time to road test. Whoooaaaaa........this bike accelerates like my wife when Im in the dog house!!
