The coolest thing happened today... One of my brides, super sweet girl, came in today to pick up her wedding album and handed me a beautiful thank you card and inside was a tip! This is interesting bc there has been a buzz among wedding vendors lately about who gets a tip and who doesnt. Of course the best scenario is that your clients are happy and you get return business as well as referals. But receiving a tip is wonderfully appreciated! We work extremely hard on the wedding day. Usually 8-10 hours, sometimes longer. We calm the nervous bride, we instruct the MOH how to tie a corset, we show MOGs how to pin her sons boutineer, we give the limo driver directions (???), we fix the bustle when a crazy dancer steps on the dress...Commonly we see that limo drivers and djs get tips, and of course the caterer, its figured into your bill. But photographers and videographers rarely do. Is this because the final product has not yet been delivered until well after the wedding? Makes sense... thats why I was intrigued to receive one today, on delivery of the final product. Makes perfect sense! Not only was she very happy w my services on the wedding day, but w the pictures taken and then by the original artwork of her album! The internet has mixed opinions about this topic. But why not tip EACH vendor when youre happy with their sevices? Afterall, does everyone know there T.I.P.S. comes from? To. Insure. Proper. Service. Thank you Jen and Dan! It was an honor and a privalege to work with you and your families!! I cant wait for pregnancy pictures : )
