The countdown is on - in ten days I will join this years Freedom Ride of The Freedom Bus on a journey that will take us from the far north all the way through the Jordan Valley to South Hebron Hills. Over the course of two weeks we will visit Palestinian communities at risk through Israeli apartheid and occupation. Besides enjoying cultural treats like traditional music, Dabke dancing and of course playback theatre performances during which locals share their story with us, we will also stand in solidarity with Palestinians and face the daily struggle and injustice side by side with them. Activities include seeing Palestinian children safely to school and by that hopefully preventing the usual verbal and physical abuse through illegal settlers, re-building and improving what has been unlawfully destroyed by occupation forces and illegal settlers, bearing witness to struggle and soaking up the reality of apartheid that is oftentimes obliterated by Zionist propaganda machine and alarmist media who merely conjure up entirely false images of Palestine and her people. And what I personally cant wait for - bringing some color into the lives of those beautiful, beautiful children along the way - the future generation of Palestine.
