The country is in a mess and the the government is in so much - TopicsExpress

The country is in a mess and the the government is in so much trouble that they are picking on Gibraltar. Yet just up the road from the National Parliament of Spain, Real Madrid, had their old world record signing Cristiano Ronaldo (£80,000,000) great their new world record signing Gareth Bale (£86,000,000) at the front door to the club. The English Premier League has been destroyed by the money clubs and to be perfectly honest I preferred following the mighty norwich City in the 2nd tier Championsip. It is a much finer representative of the best of football as a league. Still our 3 seasons back in the top flight of English football have netted the club a staggering £220,000,000 at least. Now consider this henious fact - the prize for winning the Championsip play off final is a silver cup and promotion to the Premier League - net prize fund is £100,000,000 this year. Easily the richest all or nothing football match in the world!! Back to a country that the UK is having a diplomatic spat with at the moment. Forget their government, let us concentrate on the Spanish people. Afterall they are all that matters in a country. Unemployment is over 25% and the country is barely functioning. All too many of their brightest young people are coming to the UK, Germany and the USA. This is great for us we get real talent in our country and that will boost our economy. It is not so great for Spain and it will set in place a long term decline, thus further increasing the misery for millions of good, decent Spanish people. Amidst this mayhem and economic struggle they watch as Real Madrid fork out £166,000,000 combined to two super rich English Premier League teams. For what - two football palyers!!!! Enjoy the joke from all things Green and Yellow, though I fear the people of Spain will not. "There is something rotten in the state of Denmark". --G
