The country that has lead the modern world into what we have today is slipping and fast. When people are encouraged to trust their personal beliefs over the conclusions reached by experts this is what you get. Dubai is currently building a zero carbon footprint city, the middle east has the oil industry by the balls, now we are going to let them have the lead in green tech? Technology is good, moving forward is good; but clutching to ancient beliefs and assuming the successes of our past will carry us through is detrimental to our future as a nation. I want my children to live in the greatest country in the world not just for what it stands for in the ideals of its founding; but for the actions it takes and results it gets based off the application of those ideals.
