The crass nature of purpose for which such steadfast and deadly earnestness is on display is remarkable but equally lethal. Unity in diversity has to be revisited diversity is not soft ,fluidic and dynamic it is hard ,rigid and water tight unity for such diversity can come only when external threat appears on the horizon ,on the conscience but once the external threat is whined away the diversity will extract its revenge in a manner and style that invites external threat to come back and come back hard and win! Such unity should always be looked with suspicion always handled with caution. The onus is on progressive forces to offer an alternative to the very process of unity , a new union forged by altering the fundamental structures , that destroys the class and caste character of the society, has to be created and it should be presented such that opium induced masses awake in the state of consciousness and embrace it. This union will take the civilization to the next level!
