The creation of the United States of America represented a unique event in world history – founded as a modern republic, it was rooted in the Bible, and one of its earliest tenets was religious tolerance. This is because many of the earliest pilgrims who settled the New England of America in early 17th century were Puritan refugees escaping religious persecutions in Europe. These Puritans viewed their emigration from England as a virtual re-enactment of the Jewish exodus from Egypt. To them, England was Egypt, the king was Pharaoh, the Atlantic Ocean was the Red Sea, America was the Land of Israel, and the Indians were the ancient Canaanites. They were the new Israelites, entering into a new covenant with God in a new Promised Land. Thanksgiving ― first celebrated in 1621, a year after the Mayflower landed ― was initially conceived as a day parallel to the Jewish Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur; it was to be a day of fasting, introspection and prayer. Writes Gabriel Sivan in The Bible and Civilization (p. 236): ---------------------------------- History of Wall Street - The World Trade Center was the towering symbol of American financial power. Those first traders & settlers soon felt the need to protect themselves from Indians, pirates and other perceived dangers. SO THEY BUILT A WALL. The British would tear down the wall, Nevertheless, the road would continue to bear the name.......of Wall Street!. In March of 1792, a secret meeting took place at a Manhattan hotel. It involved 24 of the citys leading merchants. Two months later May 17, 1792, the merchants again gathered together, this time at 68 Wall Street to sign a document. The document would seal the goals set forth at the first meeting. It would be the founding of what would ultimately be known as the New York Stock Exchange. The document was called the BUTTONWOOD AGREEMENT. The organisation born of agreement would be know as the BUTTONWOOD ASSOCIATION, later the New York Stock & Exchange Board, finally as the New Your Stock Exchange. The 24 merchants used to meet and carry on their transactions under the Buttonwood Tree that grew on Wall Street. It was under that tree that they signed the agrement that gave birth to the New York Stock Exchange. So both the FOUNDING DOCUMENT & FOUNDING ASSOCIATION were named after the tree. Wall Street, as we know it, American financial power as we know it, officially began under a BUTTONWOOD TREE. What kind of tree is a Buttonwood? = A SYCAMORE!!! BUTTONWOOD, is, in essence, just another way of saying SYCAMORE So the document from which Wall Street began was, in essence, the SYCAMORE AGREEMENT Henceforth the Vow spoken in Isaiah 9:10 became a FACT! Isaiah 9:10 We will rebuild. We will plant cedars. But in the speech, morning after 9/11 We are building. We are making those cedars rise. The stones Will go up. When he speaks in the future tense, hes vowing...its the vow. But when he speaks in the present tense, hes bearing witness to the fact that the vow is being carried out. THE ISAIAH 9:10 EFFECT. The attempt of a nation to defy the course of its judgement, apart from Repentance, will, instead, set in motion a chain of events to bring about the very calamity it sought to avert. Seven (7) years after 9/11, the American economy collapsed, triggering a global economic implosion. Behind it all, & all that followed, was something much deeper than economics. Behind the collapse of Wall Street & the American economy was.........ISAIAH 9:10 America vowed to emerge stronger than before & wage war against 9/11, the Isaiah 9:10 Effect was set in motion. And Each campaign born of that defiance would end up producing a backlash. Campaigns - to strengthen & fortify its systems of defense - Establishing Department of Homeland Security, launching of global war against terrorism, and two conventional wars abroad, on in Afghanistan and the other in Iraq., In fact the speech that would launch the nations War on Terror would contain the words, WE WILL REBUILD; all reaction to 9/11, trying to reverse its consequences, overcome its impact, and nullify its danger. THE ISSUE IS DEEPER. YOU CANT SOLVE A SPIRITUAL PROBLEM WITH A MILITARY OR POLITICAL SOLUTION. APART FROM A RETURN TO GOD, THE ROOT ISSUE REMAINS UNTOUCHED AND WILL MANIFEST AGAIN IN A DIFFERENT FORM. IT IS IN THIS THAT THE ISAIAH 9:10 EFFECT BEGINS TO OPERATE. A NATIONSS ATTEMPT AT DEFYING JUDGEMENT APART FROM REPENTANCE ENDS UP SETTING IN MOTION A FUTURE CALAMITY. IN ITS CAMPAIGN TO STRENGTHEN ITSELF, IT ENDS UP BRINGING ABOUT ITS OWN WEAKENING.
