The critics have been silenced, although the haters probably never will be. The Vegas bookies are most certainly stunned. The underdog who had odds 40:1 that they would not make it to the championship after Braxton Millers injury not only made it to the championship, but defeated the favored team by 3 touchdowns, despite the fact that we were supposed to lose by 6 or more points. Fans have been asking for it for years, and we finally got it - a legitimate college playoff format for BCS football. And who were the first winners in this format? The Ohio State Buckeyes, with a 3rd string quarterback in only his 3rd career start. People have been wondering for weeks if anyone could stop the seemingly invincible no-huddle, hurry-up offense of Oregon. Ohio State proved that at least one team could. They outplayed the Ducks offensively, despite 4 turnovers, with well over 200 yards apiece from Cardale Jones (passing) and Ezekiel Elliott (rushing). They outplayed the Ducks defensively, causing the Ducks to not only lose their trademark tempo, but also to make numerous mistakes and penalties. No questionable calls. No coulda, woulda, shoulda. Just 2 spectacular teams playing good ol college football. One of them had what it takes to bring home the trophy. Congratulations to the Ohio State Buckeyes on winning the National Championship in the first year of the college football playoffs. Now...will someone please make a movie about this amazing season? #GoBuckeyes #TheOhioStateUniversity #OhioStateBuckeyes
