The culprit behind the vandalising of car tyres in Brampton, Cumbria, has been found to be a Border Collie called Jess. Jess was caught when a neighbour set up CCTV to catch the person responsible for leaving slow punctures and flat tyres, and discovered the collie was sinking her teeth into them on her daily walk. Anne Taylor, who set up the CCTV camera, explained why Jess dislikes cars: “Apparently it was run over about and 18 months ago and it seems to have a thing about cars.” Jess’ owner is said to have been unaware Jess was causing the damage and has promised to keep her under control in future.
