The custom of women wearing trousers did not start with Catholic - TopicsExpress

The custom of women wearing trousers did not start with Catholic women. Like the New Mass, the fashion was inaugurated and promoted by liberal-minded people, particularly feminist agitators, intent on discarding Christian traditions and altering peoples understanding of Christian values. (It is true that the Dress Reform Movement was also a protest against the cruelly restrictive clothing of the 19th century that was injurious to womens health, but there are modest and immodest solutions to every problem.) A Fashion revolution took place around the time of the French Revolution (1789-1804) and Napoleon Bonaparte (1804-1815), with Napoleons wife Josephine. When the men went to world war two all the women had to work.19th century and continuing throughout the 20th century, however, womens pants evolved from novelty to high Fashion. I stand only to say that, whether the wearing of trousers by women is good or bad, the only fact is, every woman should be very modest in her dressing in order not to entice to cause someone to stumble. Amen!!!
