The damage of eToll: 29 November 2013 Dear Business Partner, e-Toll impact on Avis refundable deposits On 20 November 2013, the Minister of Transport announced that the implementation of e-Tolls will take place on Wednesday, 3 December 2013. This may have a significant impact on consumers, business entities and service providers in realigning their costing model. In aligning with the regulation, our service provider Avis will now be increasing the refundable deposit by R450 to R1 450 for Avis Rent a Car and R1 700 for Avis Van Rental as from 1 December 2013. This will apply countrywide as all Avis vehicles are registered with SANRAL. For more information on this, please see attached media release from Avis which was sent out on 26 November 2013.
