The day I will never forget. December the 31st, 1999. I was still young at that time, wallowing in the utter of innocence, not now that life has robbed me of my innocence. If you can recall, it was the period when the wind of rumour that Christ would be coming was blowing like a hurricane. At that time I can remember, many became very pious and philanthropic, some sold away their goods, others settled old scores with their enemies in other to join Christ the next day to paradise. My own family was not left out because there was this unusual quietness in the house. But to the chagrin and stupefaction of all, that day gradually rolled by without the expected angel Michael blowing his trumpet in the cloud. And ofcourse as typical children of Adam, many went back to their former sinful lives. That was 14 years ago. It is obvious today that the dooms day is here. Strange events are unfolding in unprecedented succession indicating that the end is near. It is evident that a number of religious prophecies and scientific predictions project the fact that this century may consequently usher in the messiah. However, the nucleus of my write-up is total repentance and submision to the saving power of God. To be fore-warned is to be fore-armed.
