The day has started off on the grey side for some parts, - TopicsExpress

The day has started off on the grey side for some parts, particularly across more western parts of the UK and another pocket of low cloud across Lincolnshire, the East Midlands and East Anglia. But elsewhere, its a glorious start with blue skies and already warm in the south, with temperatures as high as 19C at 8am. Areas with low cloud and mist should see it burn off this morning, though perhaps persisting along eastern coasts, with most areas of the UK enjoying a dry, sunny and very warm day with light winds. The exception will be across EIRE, Northern Ireland and the Western Isles, where a weather front moving in from the Atlantic will bring a fairly cloudy day, with outbreaks of rain arriving from the west, which may turn heavy and thundery by evening. Temperatures reaching 23C in Belfast, 25C in Glasgow, 26C in Manchester, Cardiff and Plymouth, 27C in London - though, like yesterday, we could see 28C somewhere along the south coast of England. Low cloud will roll back in from the North Sea across eastern and eventually central parts of the UK overnight, further west seeing clearer spells, though the far northwest will be cloudier, though any showery rain across Northern Ireland and the Western Isles should ease. Another warm and sticky night, particularly in the south.
