The day when I have to leave Budapest and end my Erazmus life came - TopicsExpress

The day when I have to leave Budapest and end my Erazmus life came sooner than I could notice. When I was leaving Bratislava for one semester, all I was thinking was studying and learning as much as possible at my new university. And just few days before arriving to my new flat, I watched a video of one Italian Erazmus exchange student saying that there are only two types of Erazmus students in the world: 1) those who study 2) those who party; I laughed a lot and thought to myself it will be a piece of cake, I am coming from the Partyslava. To all students considering Erazmus or any other exchange programe abroad thinking about how amazing the new university will be and how many new skills and experiences you will gain in the field of medicine or whatever you study - you are totally right. The university will blow your mind. The country will steal your heart. And you will learn a lot more outside the walls of the university than inside. The guy who once said that the most important things are learnt not in school was freaking right. On this day I want to share with you my dear friends some of the important things that I have learnt: - I have learnt so much from my mistakes that I am thinking of making few more - a mind is a terrible thing to waste - everyone you meet knows something you do not - a kiss is just a kiss until it is with someone you will truly miss - tips for running faster: 1) hot person in front of you 2) creepy guy behind you - the meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two substances - if there is any reaction, both are transformed - the greatest weakness of most humans is their hesitancy to tell others how they love them while they are alive - good mood, bad mood, ugly, pretty, handsome, what-have-you...the right person is still going to think that sun shines out of your ass - I do not know a perfect person anymore, I just know flawed crazy people who are still worth loving - we are all given this life because we are strong enough to live it - no-one has ever become poor by giving - people are lonely because they build walls instead of bridges - character, like a photograph, develops in darkness - no matter how much I care, some people just don’t care back - it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it - either you control your attitude or it controls you - sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you’re downhill are the ones to help you get back up - when I’m angry I have the right to be angry, but it is always waste of time - true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance - just because someone doesn’t love you the way you want them to doesn’t mean that they don’t love you with all they have - maturity had more to do with what types of experiences you’ve had and what you’ve learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated - your family will be always there for you - our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become - we don’t have to change friends if we understand that friends change. - two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different - your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don’t even know you Goodbye Budapest. Dakujem za vsetko. Mindig es nagyon imadlak!
