The day you finally realize you are free The day you realize that a set of prescribed rules and activities doesn’t constitute a relationship The day you realize that the group of people whose opinion your every move was once based on doesn’t matter one fig to you anymore The day you aren’t tied to a doctrine, denomination or movement The day you realize that you are in fact having a relationship with the Living Word, a person and not words on a page The day you realize you are one with him and that you don’t have to chase after, beg for, call down or wait for his presence because he is wherever you are The day that all of the fear in your life dissolves in the face of such great love and acceptance The day you find out who you really are. A son. A son who is lavished with an unfathomable love that you finally accept…that has been there all along…because there is no one telling you that in order to get that love you have to do this or that. Be this or that. Believe this or that. Or say this or that. That’s the day that you find true joy. True freedom. You find a silly smile spreading across your face that you just can’t squelch. You want to shout for joy from the tallest mountain and your deepest desire is for others to experience the same joy and freedom. When you get a hold of a love like that you can’t help but let it pour out and saturate your life and the lives of those around you. That’s the day you’ve been waiting for and your life will never be the same! Awww…freedom! I love it!
