The death of Robin Williams due to an alleged suicide is tragic. As are the horrific deaths of Mike Brown, Eric Garner and countless others like them that go unreported. My condolences to all the families and may they all Rest In Peace! If anyone out there is dealing with depression, please speak up! And regarding the disproportionate number of injustices taking place against our young black males, we all have to step up to help impact change! As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. taught us, an injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. He goes on to remind us that whatever affects one of us directly, affects us all indirectly. Tragedies of all kind in America affect us all. Lets take a stand against sitting idly by and waiting for change to happen. It was in that same letter way back in 1963 that MLK reminds us that Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, it comes through continuous struggle. None of us can do it all. But I encourage you all to do something. Even those of you who believe this doesnt happen in your community or family. Lets take a stand against #Injustice. Lets take a stand against #Depression. We can no longer sit on the sidelines and wait to see what happens because we dont think it affects us. Any injustice or tragedy in America affects us all. #RIP to all those we have lost recently.
