The debate of the United States as a superpower and a world police is so interesting when considering human rights violations. How much responsibility should rest on our shoulders to protect citizens of other countries? Even if the trend remains picking and choosing who we help, based on our own interests. Hopefully the Obama Administration can diplomatically persuade King Mohammad to work toward fixing this issue. I hope to go to Morocco next spring, and as the country is rubbing peoples noses in the hopelessness of their own situation this is an excellent way of encouraging rebellion. I am aware of the selfishness in this statement, but I cant have another country declared unsafe by Hamlines Travel Abroad Administration!
