The decision to leave JARM has not been an easy one and its taken much thought, but its time for me to move on. I am so proud of the positive changes that I have been a part of. I am proud of the hard work that myself, the board, volunteers and staff have done over the past year. To me animal sheltering will never just be about providing a safe and healthy shelter for unwanted pets. To me its also about seeing past the terror in some animals eyes. Its about believing that with love and patience that terror will change into relief at finally finding safety. In the end its ultimately about saving lives. I feel blessed to have been a part of saving so many this past year. I have complete confidence that the board and staff will continue on the same path of saving many more. I would like to say thank you to the local groups that have helped whenever i called.... Camp Green Dog, Hilton Head Humane and The Bark Shack. I would also like to thank the Board of Directors for believing in me when some of the time they may have thought I was a crazy person. My biggest thank you goes to the staff of JARM. You have done me so proud with your dedication and determination of finding solutions to save as many lives as possible. Your willingness to change and think outside of the box has melted my heart. I am completely confident that your determination will continue and i love you all. I know the animals of JARM are safe in the hearts and hands of the board and staff. Katie Bentley
