The definition of Charity is generous actions or donations to aid the poor, ill, or helpless. I asked for work, not charity. I’ve dealt with the thoughts of giving with gladness and joy, and I wrestled with it form inside my soul. The bitterness of selfishness and greed overwhelms me so, I did not want to care for my fellow countrymen. A charitable act especially toward those in need or in disfavor was beneath me and my heart was hardened and sad. I pray to the Lord God for my sin and iniquities to be eased and lifted.” And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as a heathen man and a publican”.
