The desire to write what I call “Andy’s Story” has been building for years, and as the time to write it finally draws near, I find I can no longer keep the words at bay. Scenes and sentences wash over me, tossing me about like crashing waves. They sing with the cadence of a beloved poem, but cry out like a newborn babe, demanding attention at all hours of the night and day. Still, I cannot give in to writing it yet. It will be my first standalone, and itll come out next fall. But as I finish my last days with book four of Amish Vines and Orchards, I soothe myself about Andy’s Story with the words, “Soon. Very soon Ill begin that journey, and Ill pound away on the keyboard until Andys Story is complete.
