The destruction of Earth is a direct result of consumer demand. - TopicsExpress

The destruction of Earth is a direct result of consumer demand. The general publics demand for energy for electricity has caused this, and the corporations are more than happy to comply. Corporations wouldnt make money if everyone stops buying their products, cut backs on their electricity usage in their homes, and use less oil by driving less. If this society wasnt all about the constant consuming of our limited resources, there would be no need for fracking, mining, & oil drilling which is further causing an unlivable toxic environment. Unless everyone is willing to take personal responsibility, stop blaming what is happing on others, & give up some of their comforts (which at this point I see highly unlikely) over time things will only get worst. Also saying The government should do something about it. Someone else will take care of it is still blaming another person. With that mentality nothing gets done. Everyone is thinking someone else is going to do it first so they dont have to. We are all a part of the problem. To see change involves changing your behavior which many do not want to do at all, and will only do if they are forced to.
