The devastating effects of depression can only be felt by those who struggle with them. Depression exercises no prejudice and crosses all racial and socioeconomic boundaries. Its ludicrous to say that those who are affected by it and have access to money are less likely to see only darkness. The truth is that darkness is paralyzingly real and few come equipped to deal with it. No amount of self knowledge or will power is involved. Its a medical condition of a serious nature which must be attacked aggressively. These words are coming from one who has been through it and couldnt see light. Ive been blessed to see light and beauty in life. Struggles are real. Dont undermine them. There by the Grace of God go I.
