The difference between Grace and the performance gospel: I imagine a 2 year old interrupting a court room, running past the docket and dodging the bailiff. Those who work hard to justify themselves cannot grasp Grace. How that unruly, snot nosed 2 year old can sit in the judges lap is the object of their condemnation. They will criticize, talk down about, call names but they cannot become the child of the judge. They cannot approach the judge like the child can. The approach is only made possible by Grace through faith.
