The district magistrate Moradabad has assured the divisional commissioner revamping and widening of Kanth Road in its targeted section would be invariably completed by coming February 15. The commissioner Sudhir Garg was reviewing the progress of various projects and discussing others to be taken up shortly, in a meeting. Mr. Garg setting the deadline for finishing the work on Kanth Road said, “I want it done by February 15.” Responding DM Deepak Agrawal assured him that on Harthala main road all encroachments would be speedily removed, road widened and BSNL poles cleared from the way. The Power Corporation has also been instructed to complete its work there. To give an additional dimension to modernization of Auditorium at Panchayat Bhawan in Moradabad Mr. Garg has permitted the authorities to install a high-power generator there. To further encourage cultural activities and develop artists the administration has decided to modernized the existing Auditorium. With the installing of new generator the lighting system would improve. After the Auditorium is spruced up, first programme would be organized there on Republic Day. For improving basic civic amenities in Moradabad the local body got a grant of Rs. 5.58cr from the Finance Commission for 2014-15.
