The down side about song writing, I think, is .. it can be dangerous and hurtful sometimes to people around you that see through it OR to your inner self that is in denial about stuff ... etc. It means exposure and we as humans dont like to feel exposed .. But it isnt something you can control either. You write for the sake of writing your emotions out - setting them free .. it really is a very cleansing type of therapy .. The one thing I guess you can control about it is - sharing/or not sharing it with people. That part is quite hard as well because there is always that little itchy feeling you get at the back of your brain somewhere - that unconsciously moves you towards SHARING anyway. Its very tricky : if you think your writing is good and if it satisfies your ego enough - you instantly feel the urge to SHARE and expose yourself if you must. Wow. This may sound silly to a lot of people but to me - it is overwhelming. #Music cant survive without it
