The dreadful state of telecommunications in the Somerset region was a concern raised by residents at the recent meetings to discuss the draft Somerset Social Plan in Lowood and Fernvale. It looks like Council has taken that on board as theyre following up on a proposal by Cr Jim Madden at the recent Council meeting to write a letter to the Minister: Council Seeks Clarification on Internet Concerns Somerset Regional Council will write to Minister for Communications, Malcolm Turnbull, to clarify concerns regarding the National Broadband Network at Lowood and Fernvale. Councillors have received feedback from the community that they are unhappy with the rollout of the service and the inability to get high-speed internet in the region. goo.gl/Tk5V9M
