The economic crisis in Europe and the current political crisis has exposed the weakness around Ukraine and the inefficiency of the current structures of the European Union. The European Union is a major economic juggernaut with feet of clay. I believe that Member States should start working together to transform the European Union into a federal democratic republic. The starting point for the debate on the European Federation could be my draft Constitution of the European Union as a federal state.
