The economy cannot grow, and we will not create jobs without reliable electricity. Jacob Zuma’s ANC government is so busy enriching itself that they’ve forgotten to do their jobs and ensure that our country has power. Just last week, the Zuma-ANC is reported to have made R50 million selling their shares in Hitachi, the company which has caused a two year delay in delivering the Medupi and Kusile power stations in Mpumalanga, which our country desperately needs to increase the supply of electricity. And over last two years, Eskom executives have been paid R31 million in bonuses, despite not doing the most basic part of their jobs. They don’t do their jobs, take millions of rands in bonuses and blame their failure on wet coal. This ANC of Jacob Zuma just isn’t the same anymore. They’ve forgotten about the people and only care about enriching themselves. The DA has a plan to give South Africa a reliable electricity supply so that the economy can grow and create jobs. We will never pay bonuses to Eskom bosses who don’t do their jobs; We won’t invest and profit from companies who fail to deliver services to the South African people; We will end government control over Eskom so that it can get on and do its job efficiently, without government interference; We will reform the electricity industry; end Eskoms monopoly control and allow independent power producers to sell power to the grid; We would not continue to supply electricity to other countries while our own people face power cuts; We will put an end to rolling blackouts. So vote DA. Together for change. Together for jobs. Abantu Kuqala, Kuqala Abantu. Qina Mhlali Qina! !
