The editor just left the fire at Sidell town hall. Building still standing. Clerks office was not damaged much. Mostly smoke and some water. No cause verified yet but a very loud lightening strike was heard an hour before passerby saw smoke in northeast corner of building so possibly caused from that. That area of building appears to be severely damaged. Read this weeks Reporter for the updates and a list of the 10 fire departments responding and the huge number of firefighters and trucks on hand. Quite a site in downtown Sidell!
