The education system is impeding the youth in their plight for implementing their true dexterity. To repress students in academia for 4+ years ensuring they accumulate massive debt (especially if they do not come from a wealth family) is the true dichotomy of debt of the USA. Student loan companies are jamming up the economy by giving out loans for degrees that have no chance to earn. Being a well rounded educated individual is important but the price we have to pay for that is unjust and nonsensical. Employers have the ability to burst the education bubble and hire more people from vocational schools which would in turn lower the cost of a formal degree. Not to omit that scholastic achievements are rights of passage but realistically it had turned into a puppet show with the loan offices and universities being the puppeteers. The fact that an English degree and a biochemical engineering degree cost the same amount sums up the fact that colleges are getting away with too much and it is the employers who can do something about it. Pretty pathetic that we are in 2014 and the American dream is to be debt free one day.
