The eight-hour work day, weekends, safe workplaces, a minimum wage, retirement and health benefits, and a ban on child labor are a few of the many things we owe to the labor movement. Labor Day is a time to commemorate the successes of the labor movement and recognize the hard-fought battles they won for future generations. From my days as a Shop Steward in the Retail Clerks Union Local 324 to my time as Field Director for AFSCME-UDW Local 3930, I have always supported the rights and opportunities of working-class families and will continue to do so as representative for the 64th Assembly District. As an Assembly Candidate, I am proud to have the endorsements of many unions including: UFCW Local 324 UNITE HERE Local 11 ATU Local 1277 Painters and Allied Trades District Council 36 Iron Workers Local 416 AFSCME United Domestic Workers Local 3930 Professional Musicians Local 47 IATSE Locals 80 and 33 and more... As representative for the 64th Assembly District, I will build upon the legacy of the labor movement to create living-wage jobs and restore a thriving middle-class.
