The electrical impulses traveled through her body at an enormous rate. Her tiny body convulsed, even though she was unaware of it at the time. An induced seizure it was called: a last ditch effort to try to realign her brain chemistry. She remembered 10 years prior to this moment, even in her undergraduate psychology classes, thinking that Electro Shock Therapy was barbaric, only something you read about in books or saw in Horror Films. But....here she was grasping onto the Drs arm for dear life, desperate for someone, anyone at this point to console her. The awful smell radiated up her nose and the injection was warm through her veins. It will be okay, he told her. That was the last thing she heard as the darkness settled in and she became unconscious. The induced seizure lasted mere seconds, but the memory of it, an eternal lifetime. Not only did this treatment fail her, as had most Drs up until this point, but it left a hole in her soul; a hole no one could fill. A wound greater than anything in this world of any physical ailment she could think of. So, what was she do this with this hole, now that she was well; better than well actually and ready to speak up for others? NOW, she would fill that hole with love. Love for herself and for her family, as well as her Creator. Love for a world that had failed her, as hard as it was. She smiled to herself, that smile she always possessed as a child at Christmas when the excitement couldnt be contained and as she smiled, Love flowed through her heart and overflowed into her soul.
