The end of time. Today, class we will discuss the end times and in the three paragraphs, I will explain Bible prophesy to you. Yeah, right! There is coming a day soon when God will close this chapter of history. He will take those who are His children, the ones who have believed in the Lord Jesus Christ and confessed him as Lord and Savior. He will then at an appointed time allow this world to spin out of control until the evil is so great that He just destroys it. He will resurrect all of the saints, believers, those who called on the name of Jesus, dead or alive. They will all be gathered up and be given new bodies. Bodies that are perfect and eternal. He will create a new heaven and a new earth. All things will be made new as in the beginning. But there will be no Satan, and no curse and we will live with Jesus reigning for a thousand years. Revelation 21:1-4 ESV Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” So now you want to know when? Or how? I dont know. I think soon. But since the apostle John wrote those words 2000 years ago, people have been waiting for Jesus to return. Only God knows. But each of you today face eternity. And the big question is after you draw your last breath, will you be destined for this new heaven and new earth? There are volumes of material written and teachers who have studied this in depth who can give better understanding. I really dont understand it all that well. Im a simple man. I dont have to understand it. I know Jesus as my Lord and Savior. That is all I need to know. How about you? Lord, I pray that today You will draw those far from You to You. In Jesus Name.
