The enemy does not attack you because you are weak or vulnerable. He attacks because he sees you as a threat, he sees you as a worthy opponent who rushes him to his feet. He shouts “Halt, who goes there” because he can feel your footsteps shaking his foundations. Your adversary the devil, studies your movements, habits and abilities and when he has learnt enough he pounces. He plans to catch you unaware, while you are in your comfort zone sipping on your latte. In the case of Eve, he made sure that he understands how she thinks. Every time she wondered how the fruit tastes, he came closer and closer. She spent a lot of time around the tree out of curiosity and because this devil knew her inheritance was to dis-inherit him; he studies her movements, her thoughts, her defense mechanisms. Once he came to understand her weak spots, he strikes. He made sure to approach her with what she had already planted. A desire for disobedience, and he is smart that he comes when Adam is not around, because Adam’s mind is occupied with the instructions of God to keep the garden, he was out there pruning and fumigating some flowers. He knows also not to talk to snakes; snakes don’t talk, when he gave the snake his name it did not say “Thank you, Sir”. He would have noticed that something was off the first time the snake said “Hello”. The enemy watches you, like a lion in the grass. He lies in wait for your moment of relaxation or hard work, he waits for you to be pre-occupied. He connives against you because of your DESTINY, not because of where you are. IT IS ALL BECAUSE OF WHERE YOU ARE GOING. Exodus 1:8 Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph.9 And he said to his people, “Look, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we; Exodus 1:11 Therefore they set taskmasters over them to afflict them with their burdens. You notice that once the devil knows your destiny as a child of God, he comes barring teeth and claws out. “Look, the people of the children (inheritors) of Israel are more and mightier than we”. When God promised to multiply Abraham, the devil came through to bind them in slavery. The bible says “Therefore they set taskmasters over them to afflict them”, the master mind behind this action was not the new King over Egypt, but the new ruler over the “Kingdom of Egypt”. When an announcement is made in the Heavens that a child will be born to deliver God’s people from his hand, he intercepts the message but gets only bits and pieces of it. So he gives order for all children of a certain age group to be killed, here, he loses his cool and acts out of anger and therefore his mission is not successful. He always attempts to kill the redeemer, and he will attempt to kill you because you are the redeemer of your family. He will attempt to abort your plans before they are even conceived, do not listen to his lies, to his whispers and confusions. Rather, listen to the Angel of the Lord who comes to warn you to flee because the one who wants to kill you is coming. Be aware at all times of satan’s devices. Do not plant a seed for him to water. "To resist the devil is to not be in his presence"...dodge him. Be like the wind; The bible says those who are filled by the holy spirit are like the wind, unpredictable. One day you are here, there, over there, down here, so the enemy can not predict your moves and pounce.
