The energy I see expended on banalities, arguments about religion vs imperialism vs indoctrination, all juxtaposed to those who dont do a thing about the roots of these issues, all trying to make todays massacre about them, either because they are writers or because they are french or because because because....With the energy were wasting on this arm-chair indignation, we could be doing something. Lets pool our resources and buy a billboard in Paris and put one of the cartoons on it. If news agencies are censoring the images in their news stories, write to them and tell them to grow some balls. Boycott magazines that opt to censor. Yesterday I posted a link about the impact of censorship on writers, internationally. The only way to fight is to keep publishing the truth. Here, there, everywhere. Post the cartoons on Twitter and FB. Post them to Twitter accounts of blithering extremist idiots. Post to thier organizations pages. Make up a new web persona and get to work. I do it and I dont even know how to save stuff to dropbox. You can do something. So, stop getting all histrionic because you are French or some other connection thrice removed. Stop doing the drama of posting pics of yourself at a rally and start publishing the cartoons, the jokes, the commentary. Do it for the 12 people who never will again. Show these barbaric monsters that they cant stop freedom. Dont talk about freedom, DO the freedom thing.
