The entire YFU family mourns the victims of the terrible Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 plane crash. Joep Lange was a passenger aboard the flight. He is the proud father of one of our students who is about to leave for her program year in Argentina. Joep Lange, AIDS expert, also was a YFU returnee. He was an exchange student to the US in 1971/1972. This event hits us close to home. It shows that the mission of YFU is still very important. By connecting people worldwide, we contribute in a small way to mutual understanding and peace. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Joep Lange and with the families and friends of all the other victims.
