~The environmental impact of killing for eating~ Killing animals for culinary pleasures is breaching a fundamental Law of Nature. The repercussions are felt not only on an individual level but on planetary level. How? At the global level, the high demand of the meat industry is far from meeting the supply of meat available. To meet the demands of mass production of meat, massive slaughtering and fishing are done. The processes used are often unknown to the happy eater, ready to enjoy his meat. But in reality, many animals are slaughtered in the most inhumane way; while still conscious, they are suspended and their throats are slit to empty their blood, struggling all throughout as they are in terrible agony. They are then skinned, sometimes while still alive. “From an ecological point of view, the extreme mass suffering is directly related to the sudden numerous disasters we are facing. The negative vibes emanating from the long suffering animals are shaking the equilibrium of Mother Nature” says Yogi Tamby. He strongly advocates a strict vegetarian diet to counter the degradation of the environment.
